DeepGreenInno Project: Exploring Green Technologies, Entrepreneurship, and International Collaboration
On October 26-27, 2023, the University of Ruse "A. Kanchev" hosted an extensive workshop tailored for the DeepGreenInno Project team, featuring presentations and meetings. Among the participants was the IUS project team, comprising Assoc. Prof. Dr. Altijana Hromić-Jahjefendić, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emil Knezović, Asst. Prof. Dr. Azra Bičo and Dr. Nađa Beglerović, the Manager of the Office of Sponsored Project (OSP).
The workshop focused on delving into the deep tech aspects of 'green material technologies,' environmental technologies, and fostering innovation and entrepreneurial thinking for transforming scientific concepts into viable businesses. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Altijana Hromić-Jahjefendić presented her insights on "Testing the Solubility of Pyrophyllite for In Vitro Studies," while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emil Knezović addressed "Green Entrepreneurial Intentions: What Can We Learn from a Future Labor Force?"
Additionally, the group had the privilege of visiting LINAMAR, LLM, Ruse, a globally renowned leader in aluminum product manufacturing. This visit aimed to explore the latest cutting-edge and sustainable innovations and provided our group with invaluable insights into Linamar's groundbreaking technologies. Linamar, known for its global presence and excellence in producing high-quality aluminum products, opened its state-of-the-art facilities for the DeepGreenInno project team, offering firsthand exposure to the industry's best practices and innovations. Linamar generously shared their extensive knowledge of aluminum manufacturing processes, quality control, and sustainability initiatives. The project team gained insights into the company's environmental footprint reduction efforts, including material reuse practices.
This visit not only strengthened the bonds between project partners but also underscored the significance of international collaboration in the pursuit of knowledge and innovation. It stands as a testament to the transformative power of project partnerships in advancing education and research.
