Panel Discussion at IUS on Regional Integration and Economic Reforms
On Friday, October 24, 2025, the IUS Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) hosted a public guest lecture titled “Regional Integration and Economic Reforms in the Western Balkans: Between CEFTA, the Reform Agenda, and the EU.”
The session was organized and moderated by Dr. Rijad Kovač, Adjunct Instructor at IUS and Acting Director of the Federal Development Programming Institute.
Distinguished speakers included Ms. Amina Mulabdić (Directorate for Economic Planning), Mr. Umut Ergezer (Regional Cooperation Council), and Mr. Emir Đikić (former Director of the CEFTA Secretariat).
They discussed the role of the Reform Agenda 2025–2027, CEFTA, and the Common Regional Market in fostering economic integration and EU alignment.
The event attracted students from International Trade and Regional Development and the EU courses and encouraged an engaging exchange between academia and policy practice, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation for sustainable growth.
