Mak Zara Representatives Share Industry Insights with FBA Students

On Wednesday, March 21, 2024, Mak Zara company representatives, Ms. Kata Dusper and Mr. Ragib Spahić, visited the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). They addressed the students enrolled in the IBF205 Principles of International Business course taught by Adjunct Instructor Ms. Aida Akagić-Hodžić and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hamza Smajić. The focus of their presentation was on their chocolate manufacturing process and how they develop new products from an idea to the market launch.

Ms. Dusper and Mr. Spahić detailed the stages of product development, emphasizing the importance of innovation and efficiency in manufacturing. They highlighted how Mak Zara applies lean manufacturing principles and the DMAIC framework to enhance productivity and quality. This visit offered students a practical look at product development and operational improvements in food industry, bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world application.
