Strengthening Dialogue with Students: IUS Rector Holds Meeting with SPIUS Representatives

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the Rector of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, met with representatives of the Student Parliament of IUS (SPIUS) for an introductory meeting and an evaluation of the current term.

The meeting served as an opportunity to further strengthen communication between the Rectorate and student representatives, while also addressing important topics related to the University’s ongoing development and quality enhancement.

During the meeting, SPIUS representatives were introduced to the upcoming accreditation processes, including FIBAA, AQAS, ASIIN, and other relevant evaluations. In this context, Ms. Lamija Hadžimurtezić from the IUS Strategic Development Office (SDO) delivered a presentation outlining key aspects of quality assurance and accreditation procedures at the University.

In addition, the IUS Vice-Rector for Academic Activities and Students’ Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tarık Namas, briefed the student representatives on student surveys, highlighting their role and importance in the continuous improvement of education quality at IUS.

The meeting reaffirmed the University’s commitment to open dialogue with students and its dedication to fostering a culture of quality, cooperation, and continuous institutional improvement.
