FBA Student Lajla Imamović Becomes National Champion in Swimming

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is proud to celebrate the outstanding success of Lajla Imamović, a student of the Management (MAN) study program at the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA), who became National Champion in swimming at the National Swimming Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The championship was held on June 13 and 14, 2026, at the Olympic Pool Otoka in Sarajevo, bringing together more than 350 swimmers from clubs across the country. Competing in the women’s absolute category, Lajla delivered an excellent performance in the 50-meter breaststroke event, securing first place and earning the title of National Champion.

Her gold-medal result is a remarkable achievement, especially in a competition that gathers some of the best swimmers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This success reflects Lajla’s dedication, discipline, and strong commitment to excellence, both in sport and in her academic journey.

At IUS, we take great pride in students who continue to achieve impressive results beyond the classroom and represent the University through talent, hard work, and perseverance. Lajla’s achievement is an inspiration to the entire IUS community and a reminder of what can be accomplished through focus and commitment.
