Bridging theory and practice: IUS students visit BH Telecom

IUS students recently visited BH Telecom as part of a study visit designed to connect academic learning with practical industry experience. The visit brought together students from the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) who are currently attending the courses Organizational Behavior, taught by Prof. Dr. Ognjen Riđić, and Business Finance, taught by Asst. Prof. Dr. Admir Mešković.

The visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the operations of one of the leading companies in the region. During the program, representatives of the Executive Directorate for Economic and Financial Affairs delivered an informative presentation on the organizational structure and core operations of BH Telecom, with particular focus on the work and responsibilities of this directorate.

It was an inspiring and highly educational experience for the students, who had the opportunity to observe how key business, financial, and organizational functions operate in practice. Experiences of this kind are especially important because they bridge classroom learning with the realities of the professional world, helping students better understand how theory is translated into strategy, decision-making, and everyday business operations.

The students especially appreciated the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals and to gain a deeper understanding of how these functions are implemented within a major regional company.
