Decision on Implementation of Teaching Process in Academic Year 2020-2021

on the implementation of the teaching process in the academic year 2020-2021 at the International University in Sarajevo


By which it is determined that the implementation of the teaching process at the International University of Sarajevo in the upcoming academic year 2020/2021 for students of English Language School will take place in-class, while for the other academic units, teaching process will be implemented in the following three ways:



Hybrid Synchronous.

For the case of international students, it will be decided individually.


A detailed plan of the model of implementation of the teaching process by programs will be published by the deans, program coordinators and advisors, on the bulletin boards of the faculties and on the website of IUS, in order to enable the students to access the desired information.


A student with a justifiable reason will be able to request, in written form, from the dean to attend parallel online classes before the commencement of the said online classes.


In case of risk to and inability of the student to attend classes, he/she must obtain the consent for absence from certain classes for a certain period of time, from the relevant faculty dean.


The University holds the right to reassess and change this Decision following any further COVID-19 developments, changes in the regulation of educational policies in Sarajevo Canton by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth and instructions of the Crisis Team of the Ministry of Health of the Canton Sarajevo and Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

All students will be informed about any changes to this Decision one week prior to their implementation.


The implementation of the teaching processes are subject to monitoring at the level of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton and the Government of Sarajevo Canton, in accordance with which the Crisis Team of the International University of Sarajevo will timely perform all protection and prevention measures in order to stop the spread of COVID-19.


Deans, program coordinators and advisors for study programs are obliged to provide reponses and clarifications to all student inquiries in a timely manner.


The decision comes into force on the date of its adoption.
